Point Guard runnin the show~
Holland Hall does not compete for State Championships since they are not a member of the OSSAA; however, this year’s Oklahoma’s 3A State Champions in basketball, the Cascia Hall Commandos, met the Dutch during the regular season. Senior guard Brock Morton finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
Here is the story from the Tulsa World:
Holland Hall 61, Cascia Hall 60 (boys):
The Dutch outlasted the Class 3A second-ranked Commandos to remain perfect.
Brock Morton finished with 28 points for Holland Hall (7-0). Price Pinkerton scored 18 points off the bench to pace Cascia (4-3).
Morton and Pinkerton both had 10 points in the final quarter. Morton sank the game-winning jumper with 35 seconds remaining. The Commandos had a couple of looks in the final 20 seconds but neither shot dropped.
Cascia Hall was up 23-19 after the first quarter but Holland Hall rallied and held a 32-29 edge at the half.
Morton had nine second-period points, including a pair of free throws with no time on the clock to give the Dutch the advantage.
Holland Hall led 48-43 after three quarters. Bailey Miles had nine of his 12 points for the Dutch on 3-of-3 3-pointers in the frame. Pinkerton had six points late in the period to keep the Commandos close.
